Another Birthday Past

And there was also Emily's 21st birthday - while she was biking in Australia for her interim. So we celebrated that after she came home. She has been so anxious for this birthday, when she can finally drink alcohol! She has been so good and patient about that - I am amazed - and proud of you Emily! She had a white Russian for one of her first drinks - mmmm, doesn't that sound good right now? So when she got home, her friend Lauren, from school, came for the weekend, and we also had Kathryn and her parents over too to celebrate. We had a wonderful time!

Hi, Diane, thank you for stopping by! I'm so glad you enjoyed all my kitchen renovation stuff. I'm always up to some DIY project over there, but right now it's kitchens. I did have a Kohler sink in my old house & it was a good one, so I don't think you can go wrong with that brand. I currently have a no-name white sink & it shows every single mark & is SO hard to keep clean, that's why I'm changing out to a black granite sink. Much less upkeep.

I do hope you'll come back to visit me again!

Hi, Diane...thanks so much for coming by to see my yellow bedroom and leaving such sweet words.
The color is DROP OF GOLD and it's from Walmart. I am very happy with the color as it's not REAL yellow nor dark...just right! :o)
Happy B. Day to Emily...

Hi Diane!! What a beautiful family!!! Thank you so very much for visiting my blog and for your very sweet comments!! About the postcards, I would sandwich a copy of the front and back inside two pieces of glass and then use copper foil tape around the outside. Then apply flux and then solder all four sides. Then I would attach two rings on the top with solder then run pretty ribbon through to hang!!!
The paint color is just a simple cream color...very generic!!! Walmart has a Country White that's already mixed up that you might look at....I love neutrals so you can change out your colors whenever you please ~

Hope your weekend is going wonderful and thanks again for your sweet comment! xxoo, Dawn

Thank you for commenting on my blog Diane! What a lovely family you have. I can tell we do have a lot in common. If you have an understanding of Autism you are an instant friend! ;) My son has severe autism as you probably gather from my blog. He is a joy though and keeps me hopping. He likes to craft while I do so I spend a lot of time trying to find fun stuff for him to do. I just found a tutorial for weaving with a home made loom and old t-shirts. So that will keep us busy, making the loom, learning and then teaching Ryan. We are just starting theraputic horseback riding and excited about that too. My biggest concern is what will Ryan do after school is done? (three years)The funding for the sheltered workshop here only allows two days a week for him. I am on a mission to make things interesting and fun for him into adulthood.
I sew and do lots of various crafts. I have mostly been doing baby stuff of late. I enjoy sewing, paper crafts, card making, collage, crochet, you name it I do it (except knitting). I don't do it all well but have a ball doing it and thats what its about. Well now that I answered your questions I am going to roll back and read more of yours.

Have a great weekend

Sue
